John Meilner is responsible for overall managerial leadership of the office as well as working with the investment team on its focus of investing in operating companies either directly or in partnership with other investors. As it relates to such investments, John spends his time working with the senior leadership teams or investment partners in a Board capacity. Additionally, John is a Founder and Managing Partner of Bridge Street Capital Partners, an investment management firm, and previously served seven years as Managing Director in the Investment Banking group of McDonald Investments and thirteen years at Deloitte & Touche, serving the last two years as Partner.
John is a CPA and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Drake University and Masters of Management degree from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
In addition to his Board responsibilities connected to investing activities, John serves as an independent director on the Board of Directors for a fifth-generation family business holding company and previously for a bank holding company located in the Midwest. Finally, John has been actively engaged throughout his career on many community boards and presently works in a mentoring capacity for young entrepreneurs.
